The models available to load in to SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework (LSAF) 5.1 have a Boolean DEFINEENABLED attribute; all model, table, column, column class group and column class attributes have Boolean REQUIRED and CONTRIBUTETODEFINE attributes.
When a model has DEFINEENABLED enabled, then all model, table, column, column class group and column class attributes with REQUIRED or CONTRIBUTESTODEFINE enabled must be in the model.
When a model has DEFINEENABLED disabled, then only model, table, column, column class group and column class attributes with REQUIRED enabled must be in the model.
Currently a problem exists in LSAF 5.1 such that the DEFINEENABLED attribute is ignored when validating which attributes must be in the model. The problem translates to even when DEFINEENABLED is disabled, all attributes with CONTRIBUTESTODEFINE enabled must be in the model, even when attribute REQUIRED is disabled. In effect this renders the DEFINEENABLED attribute useless.
The issue has been addressed in SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.1.1.
